January is almost over now. All those resolutions to eat right and stay fit should be yielding results. I decided a long time ago I wouldn’t make resolutions or diet because those are temporary. Changing your lifestyle is the only way to make things stick. That doesn’t mean you have to suffer or never splurge…a little. I recently tried Burger Boss in Tustin. The offer all natural grass fed beef burgers that you can customize or “Boss” your way. Don’t hate me when I say, I’m not a big burger fan. I am into trying new eateries. With that said, I tried the 100% Ground Turkey Breast burger on a Gluten Free bun. (Gluten is a whole other post for me!)
The whole idea is that you pick your protein (Beef, Chicken, Turkey or Black Bean) then your Bun (Kaiser, Wheat, Gluten Free, Lettuce Wrap or Bowl). It’s so nice to offer gluten free and protein style! You can choose your cheese, sauce and toppings. Being somewhat frugal, I chose ALL of the “no-charge” toppings. BB offered a great selection. I had green leaf lettuce, baby spinach, vine ripe tomatoes, fresh onions, crispy pickles, green olives, grilled onions and grilled jalapenos (mmm). I must admit, it felt like so much food with so little fat!
On to the service….you have two options. Those who are less inclined to engage in verbal communications can use the touch screens at the start of the line and customize or “Boss” their burger and fries (Yes, you can “Boss” them around too). Those who enjoy good ole fashion human interaction can order at the front registers. I chose the latter. Odeh greeted me and did everyone who entered. He was smiling and very engaging. Great customer service is almost more important than the food itself for me, almost. He said it would be 8-10 minutes for the order and it took 8-10 minutes. All in all, I really enjoyed the experience. Fresh, fast and relatively healthy. The shopping center was easy to get into and free parking. I give them a thumbs up!
